Minty News: "King Bey" Isabel Marant Sneaker Wedge

As if she hasn't already done it all King Beyonce is the latest celebrity to have a high-end custom sneaker designed in her honor. The company that previously created Jay-Z custom Air Jordan 1, announced a few days ago that the creation will be called "King Bey" So appropriate!

Minty Report: Hair & Makeup Oscars 2013

 Although the award show itself can be a bit boring for some, the red carpet never disappoints. Either you hate a few gowns and get a good laugh or you love a lot more and it gives you inspiration. Since it will be pretty strange to walk around in a couture gown in your everyday life, the easiest thing to take away form the Oscars is hair and make-up. Last night the red carpet included beautiful ladies in all shapes and sizes with great hair and beautiful make-up!

Actresses Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, and Zoe Saldana (pictured life to right) all had glowing skin, fresh faces, and sleek hair. Which included a subtle eye with sheer lip colors, intact waves and a bold pixie cut. Although I didn't care too much for singer Kelly Rowland's hair, her make-up was super pretty. All these looks can inspire you for night on the town with girlfriend or even date night with your beau.

My favorite hair and make-up for the night came from Oscar winner Adele. Tell me her hair and make-up isn't always on point! From the half up half down, youthful blond, the hair was a win. Her long thick lashes, chiseled cheek-bones, and rose pink peachy lip, complimented her entire look.

Minty Trend: Mint Green

As you guys know from the title of my blog and color choices, mint green is one of my favorite colors (along with purple). So I decided to do something a bit more fun today. Mint green is a hot color trend for Spring 2013 and I wanted to share a few items that would look great in your wardrobe for the upcoming season. Let me know what you think.

1. Mint Green Polka Dot Silk Dress by Tara Jarmon $441

It's a bit pricey if your a fashionista on a budget like me, but its a classic silohuette and print that can be worn in the years to come. You can add a blazer or cardigan to mature this fun, and flirty look.

2. Marlenee sandals in Mint Green by Steve Madden $100

I adore the simple style of this shoe. This fresh pop of color can make a pair of jeans and and white t-shirt look good.

3. Mint Saffiano Leather Rider Bag by Loeffler Randall $495

Also another pricey buy, but you can always keep an eye out for a sale. I love that this handbag is so structured and clean. The detail on the front and back keeps it youthful.

4. House of Harlow 1960 Pyramid Station Necklace in Mint Green  $75

How cute is this necklace? It's a statement piece without being too overbearing. I love most of Nicole Richie's jewelry, she can do no wrong in my eyes.

5. Sequin Enamel Hinge Bangle from Bloomingdale's. This is such a fun piece of jewelry and it retails for $25. You can spice up your arm party by adding this bangle with your bracelets and/or watch.

Minty News: Pop Art Beyonce

Okay so as you should probably already know if you follow me twitter or Instagram, I am a huge Beyonce stan! But let's talk about how dope this promotional ad for her deal with Pepsi looks. The ad was shot by Patrick Demarchelier with the Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art theme, with blue eye shadow, puckered-up pink lips, and bright yellow hair. It's super cool! What do you guys think, are you feeling it or not?

Minty Report: Tom Ford LFW

I just want to say that Tom Ford  had a slamming collection. Filled with Ka-Pow's and culture, it was quite a treat. The way he played with different prints and textures were really eye catching. I loved the black and white pieces, along with the cheetah print ensembles. Did you guys see the knee high boots? Love it!

Minty Report: Sass and Bide LFW

I have always been a fan of Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, the designers of Sass and Bide, since their most famous fan Sarah Jessica Parker wore one of their designs in Sex and the City. The most recent collection from the duo was a bit different from their previous work. But nonetheless I enjoyed the modest colors with a hint of yellow and grid inspired pieces.

Minty Report: Felder Felder NYFW

London Fashion Week has begun and so far these designers are not holding back. For example Annette Felder and Daniela Felder, the designers over at Felder Felder brought chic and daring pieces to the runway.  The collection had a variety of textures, including knits, lurex, and velvet. Not to mention a few see-thru pieces, that I think are most definitely better for editorial use than everyday wear.  I personally enjoyed this collection, because I am not vey familiar with their design. This keeps me wanting more!

Minty Nails: Valentines Day Ideas

Here are my favorite nail art ideas for Valentines Day. If your last minute and your "big date" is in the next two hours, try one of these styles to spice up your look. Everything counts! Minty Report: Proenza Schouler NYFW

  Here are my three favorite looks from Proenza Schouler from their F/W 2013 collection. The pieces were amazing in photographs, I can just imagine how they were in person and how supple these fabrics felt. Including white and black leather, along with tweed boucle jackets. Simply to die for! This collection might not be for everyone, but I personally loved it.

Mint Report: Custo Barcelona NYFW

I must say after working with Custo Barcelona during fashion week back in 2007 I was not familiar with the brand, but since my departure I've kept up with them. This brand might not appeal to everyone but that is what I love about it. Custo never changes what he is known for to fit into a box. It's always different with a mixture of prints, and fabrics. They're pieces from this collection that I absolutely love and feel like the designer in Custo has grown and some I'm not into and that's ok. But what about you...have you ever heard of Custo?

Mint Report: Not So Minty Grammy Looks

By now you've seen all the fantastic grammy looks from last night but have you looked at the fashion don'ts? The sad thing is, I love all these ladies very much, but the fashion choices, not so much. 

• Lets start with Tamia. Beautiful voice and equally beautiful lady, but this grecian turban ensemble is a no go. You are too cute for this Tamia.

•  Grammy Winner Esperanza Spalding is beating the odds and I adore her music, but this look is just wrong.

•  Now Janelle Monae...I have always supported your fashion choices and diversity with the uniform aesthetics, but I did not love this on you. Beautiful girl inside and out but I'm not feeling this look at all.

•  Hey Ashanti! This dress is not very fashion forward. Gorgeous girl, amateur dress. 

Mint Report: Tracy Reese NYFW

I think anyone that knows me personal, knows I am a sucker for Tracy Reese. This past weekend Reese presented a fabulous Fall/Winter 2013 collection. It was filled with various prints, textures, and silhouettes. The materials included leather, lace, knits, faux fur, and tartan prints which will be a hit this fall.
