Minty News: My Golden Globes Picks

Hey Guys and Gals! Did you have a great weekend? My weekend was pretty mellow filled with new beginnings. How about the Golden Globes, did you get a chance to watch? Here are my favorite picks from last night. The always beautiful Ann Hathaway in Chanel Haute couture. Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz in Louis Vuitton looking amazing, I swear they're one of my favorite hollywood couple. 

 Here is the adorable Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen, I love that she always stays true to herself. Lucy Liu is looking gorgeous in one of my favorite designer's Carolina Herrera.

 Okay... so if your on any social network sites I'm sure you've seen Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad haute couture. She looks really beautiful, she's fit and curvy in all the right places, just stunning, but I kind of wish she wore something else, it's typical JLO to me. But nonetheless she stole the show and won without winning an award. Also congrats to an amazing actor Don Cheadle for winning Best Actor in a comedy Series.

Minty News: Destiny's Child Comeback

It is 2013 and Beyonce is sneaking up on us slowly but surely. First her $50 million Pepsi deal, then her nearly naked GQ cover, now we'll just wait for her Superbowl takeover right? Wrong!

Beyonce announced earlier this morning that she will be releasing new music with Destiny's Child for the first time in eight years!!!! Is that not exciting?! The album titled "Destiny's Child Love Songs" features previous hits including "Cater 2 U", and "Say My Name" with "ONE" new song! What?! I feel gypped, my excitement has dropped down five notches. Don't call it a comeback! But either way the beyhive is in full affect, and I still cannot wait for this to drop.

Minty Must Know: Barbara Bui

I wasn't familiar with Barbara Bui, but while browsing Women's Wear Daily I came across a few images from her Pre-Fall 2013 collection. I was pleasantly surprised as I reviewed her previous work. Turns out she has been designing since 1987, (the year I was born, haha, go-figure) according to NY Mag. She was born in Paris, France and  has a master's in English literature and background in theater. She is known for her off beat femininity and clean lines with cultural and ethnic inspirations.

Minty Read: Letter's to a Young Sister

Hey guys and gals! I hope you had a wonderful new year!!

For the past few years I have not been fond of making new years resolutions. I'd rather just make changes in my life that would benefit me in the long run through out the year. Honestly, "honesty" is my key to greatness. It's something I've been working on, because I feel like once your are honest with yourself and other people you will be free and at peace without burden. 

Another goal I have is to read more often, and expand my mind. I used to love reading books, but then I would just slack off. Right now I am reading 'Letters to a Young Sister' by Hill Harper. I remembered while searching for book recommendations that I wanted to read it back in 2008. So that is what I'm doing. So far, so good! I'll let you know how I feel about the book once completed, and always remember that it's Minty (fresh) to read. Haha ;) How about you? Do you read a lot? Any book recommendations for me?
