Minty Report: Thom Browne Shows Us How it's Done

Do you remember that chic, well-cut checkered navy blue jacket that Michelle Obama wore to the Inauguration? That was designed by Thom Browne and now he's guiding the fellas on how to break the rules in menswear. Although I love women's wear, I respect and appreciate menswear entirely. I love a man in a well tailored suit. It adds sophistication weather you have a sleeve of tattoos or a scruffy beard. Thom has come a long way from the days of being an Armani salesman, proving that his designs are worthy. The CFDA winner has a few tips for the guys out there. Take a look!

Minty Report: Kenzo PFW

Hey guys and gals! I hope you had an amazing weekend! Are you keeping up with the collections at Paris Fashion Week? I am! :) I have just recently become a fan of the Kenzo brand and they did not disappoint. Models graced the runway in printed suits, with almost a tribal feel. Also wearing mirrored sunglasses and metallic shoes to add pizzazz to the already loud clothing choices. But somehow, for me, it works! What do you all think?

Will this be the new sweatshirt that will have the street style mavens in a frenzy?

Minty Report: Balmain PFW

Hey guys and gals!! Yesterday I previewed the Balmain collection over at Style.com. The use of fabrication was very intricate and detailed with quilted leather and woven materials made to appear as diamond shapes and crystals. The collection was filled with exaggerated shoulders, cinched waist, and overly thigh-high boots. It was very clear that they wanted to accentuate the hour-glass shape of a women. What do you guys think of the Balmain runway show?

Minty Report: Felder Felder NYFW

London Fashion Week has begun and so far these designers are not holding back. For example Annette Felder and Daniela Felder, the designers over at Felder Felder brought chic and daring pieces to the runway.  The collection had a variety of textures, including knits, lurex, and velvet. Not to mention a few see-thru pieces, that I think are most definitely better for editorial use than everyday wear.  I personally enjoyed this collection, because I am not vey familiar with their design. This keeps me wanting more!
